Esther Rosenwald
Hey! I am Esther from Baden-Baden, Germany, and have lived the last five years in Tübingen to study biochemistry. After finishing my studies in november 2008, I took a few months off, traveling through Scandinavia, Ireland and Scotland before starting with the real life.
During my studies my personal interests have developed in two different subjects: toxicology and immunology.
Finally, I have performed my Diploma thesis in the Department of Toxicology in Tübingen by analyzing the cytostatica-induced apoptosis in mouse hepatoma cells and their resistance due to mutations in cell signaling proteins.
In April 2009 I have started my work in Manfred Kopf`s institute as a technician. Now I work with Jan and became involved in his studies of γδ T-cells, a really interesting but as well complicated field in immunology.
Outside of work, I like to do sport, therefore I go to work with my velo, in summer the way back always includes a stop at the Werdinsel and I utilize as often as possible the position of the lab in Schlieren, next to the climbing hall :-)
