About us
The Institute of Molecular Health Sciences (IMHS) is associated with the Department of Biology (D-BIOL), and integrates nine research groups that aim to understand tissue and organ functions and their responses to stress, disease and therapy.
Together, these groups are advancing scientific discoveries and innovation in biomedicine and are collaborating with partners around the world. In addition, the MHS aims to apply scientific knowledge to real-world problems, utilizing academic and industrial alliances.
Collectively, the IMHS provides a vibrant ecosystem for more than 150 students, postdoctoral fellows, professional scientists, administrative staff and academic faculty to produce, together with partners from around the globe, scientific knowledge along the continuum from basic discovery through translation to improved health care.
